On Friday 18th October Made-Well will be joining in with Wear it Pink day. Wear it pink is one of Breast Cancer Now’s biggest fundraising events – a single day when thousands of amazing people come together in work places, schools, homes and communities across the UK to wear pink, raise money and show their support for Breast Cancer Now.
Fundraising activities on the day include: a raffle, a pink cup cake sale, pink face painting, fancy dress, pink rocks to find and a pink disco…
The ‘Us Too’ project is coming to Made-Well to deliver two workshops about staying safe in relationships, and what you can do if you have a bad relationship. Please note this course is aimed at women. Please share the attached poster with anybody who the workshop may interest.
The ‘Us Too project is managed by ARC England and is funded by Comic Relief.
This workshop will cover:
• What do good/bad relationships look like?
• What is domestic abuse?
• How can I avoid it?
• What can I do if it is happening to me?
• How can I report it and what will happen if I do?
Thursday 7th November
10am-1pm or 1.30pm-4.30pm
The ’Us Too’ project are a group of women with learning disabilities/autism with experience of domestic abuse/sexual violence who write and deliver training for their peers, social care
staff, and Domestic Abuse services across Devon and Cornwall.
