About Us

In 2010 Made-Well, a not for profit Community Interest Company, based in Hatherleigh, was amongst the successful applicants to receive funding from the Local Food Programme. This has enabled us to create a dedicated horticulture site along with training facilities and kitchen, a shop and a cafe to promote a better understanding and appreciation of food, healthy lifestyles, and to give local people access to affordable home-grown food. It is designed for the local community and those with learning difficulties, or others who are in some way disadvantaged and would like to be involved.  Our ethos is to actively encourage participation irrespective of age, background, qualifications, training or ability.

Our aims for 2012:

  • To provide a high quality service in day activities and learning opportunities
  • To offer local people a friendly, happy and welcoming environment to visit
  • Involve our staff,  students, customers and friends, in developing a sustainable service
  • To work with our stakeholders, local businesses and partners to continually improve
    •
