Made-Well Funding

In 2010 Made-Well, a not for profit Community Interest Company, based in Hatherleigh, was amongst the successful applicants to receive funding from the Local Food Programme. This has enabled us to create a dedicated horticulture site along with training facilities and kitchen, a shop and a cafe to promote a better understanding and appreciation of food, healthy lifestyles, and to give local people access to affordable home-grown food.

Our service provides a wide range of constructive, purposeful and positive ‘day opportunities’ designed to promote personal growth by providing activities in leisure and learning life skills. We are an inclusive organisation with an ethos of actively encouraging full participation irrespective of age, background, qualifications, training or ability. We support people to enjoy, experience and learn about horticulture, cookery, animal care, willow craft, therapeutic arts and countryside management.
